Saturday Morning Car Show: The Hispano-Suiza K6

Hispano-Suiza was a Spanish and French engineering firm that specialized in automobiles and aircraft in the first third of the 20th century.  Perhaps its major historical claim is the creation, in 1912, of a car built specifically for King Alfonzo III of Spain; here's a photo:


This is speculation, but it wouldn't surprise me if that is the first time an automobile was specifically built for a sitting monarch.  In any event, the HS that rocks my world is the K6, produced smack in the middle of the Deco influence in the US and abroad. Made between 1934 and 1937, the car is quintessential Deco:
