Climate Science is Settled, Right? Right?

Umm, no.  Not even close.  First, from political cartoon genius Michael Ramirez (as always, click to enlarge):

Second, originally appearing in the WSJ, here's an excerpt from a recent WattsUpWithThat post written by a former Obama (yes, Obama!) science advisor who reluctently agrees that our knowledge about climate and environment are not sufficient for policy making:
The idea that “Climate science is settled” runs through today’s popular and policy discussions. Unfortunately, that claim is misguided. It has not only distorted our public and policy debates on issues related to energy, greenhouse-gas emissions and the environment. But it also has inhibited the scientific and policy discussions that we need to have about our climate future.
