A Double Dose of Enviros on the Run!!

Two blows to the enviros across the globe.  First, in Europe:
Plans for Europe’s largest wind farm off the north Wales coast have been scrapped after Celtic Array, the joint venture between Centrica and Dong Energy of Denmark, said the project was “economically unviable”.
The announcement is the latest setback to the UK offshore wind sector, which has been hit by engineering difficulties, concerns at the impact on shark and bird habitats, and uncertainties about financial support after the coalition tightened its subsidy regime.
And in the Far East:
On the second anniversary of a scheme aimed at boosting Japan’s renewable energy after the Fukushima crisis, its powerful industry ministry is taking steps critics say will choke off solar investment and pave the way for a return to nuclear power.
Kudos to the Global Warming Policy Foundation for bringing these pieces of good news to our attention!
