"The Hidden Tax": Regulation

Two links here showing just how incredibly costly the regulatory burden is for US households.  First, Mark Tapscott at the Washington Examiner reports on a study from Wayne Crews of the Competitive Enterprise Institute showing that the cost of regulatory compliance works out to over $14,000 per US household each year; in other words, a hidden tax.

A second article, this one from John Merline at IBD, discussing the massive growth in governmental regulaiton that has occurred under the Obama Administration.  Here's an excerpt:
After years of rapid growth during the Obama administration, the cost of federal regulations is now bigger than the entire economies of all but nine countries in the world.
