This Day in Art History

In this post, art is defined broadly enough so as to include Wedgwood Pottery and an opera by Mozart.  More specifically, today is the 255th anniversary of the founding of Josiah Wedgwood's pottery enterprise.  Here's an example of his famous pottery:

As for Mozart, 228 years ago today the very first performance of his immortal opera The Marriage of Figero was performed in Vienna at the Burgtheater, a photo of which is below:
