Half-price gas?

From an article yesterday at the MIT Technology Review:
If Siluria really can make cheap gasoline from natural gas it will have achieved something that has eluded the world’s top chemists and oil and gas companies for decades. Indeed, finding an inexpensive and direct way to upgrade natural gas into more valuable and useful chemicals and fuels could finally mean a cheap replacement for petroleum.
And it would be yet another thorn in the side of the enviro alarmists -- the power of individual human initiative, coupled with high technology and utilizing the power of the market mechanism, advancing the human project? Why it's enough to make an anti-human enviro green with anger.  So I say: good on ya Siluria! [ht: Glenn Reynolds}
