Another another Obamacare update

I haven't updated Obamacare for a little while, so to rectify, here are a couple of links.  First up, and both predicted and predictable, drug companies are warning that Obamacare is going to stifle innovation.  Well of course it is -- socialism is notorious for destroying the incentive to innovate.  From an article at the Boston Herald:
Biotech and health care industry leaders yesterday warned that pressures to control health care costs under state law and Obamacare could have a chilling effect on innovation in the Hub.
The fear is that health care providers and insurers will try to trim costs by choosing lower-priced treatments instead of newer therapies that may be more effective, but also more pricey.
Next up, a scathing indictment of Obamacare by Jeffrey Singer writing at National Review Online.  Singer shows us how the ACA is a "trainwreck and a lie". (Personally, I think he's being unfair to trainwrecks!).  Here's an excerpt:
In his State of the Union address Tuesday night, President Obama repeated one of the biggest lies behind the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and it wasn’t that you could keep your health-care plan or your current doctor. In fact, most people don’t even know it’s a lie.  That became obvious when he received a standing ovation after saying it: “Because of this law, no American can ever again be dropped or denied coverage for a preexisting condition like asthma, back pain, or cancer.” The president and his supporters keep pretending that, before the ACA, an insurance company could drop individual policyholders, when in reality it could not.
