Weekend Links

"The most dangerous man, to any government, is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it."  Guess I'm a romantic.

A couple of weeks ago, Robert Tracinski wrote an outstanding article for Real Clear Markets discussing ten lessons Americans need to learn in the wake of the Obamacare Monster rollout disaster.  This is strongly recommended.

A not so pleasant story of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, the IRA, and "Black and Tans".

Here's a lengthy, but fascinating, preview chapter from a new book discussing the horriffic forecasting abilities and record of economists the world over.  I found this chapter so interesting, I'm going to buy the book. [note: scroll down a bit to find the chapter entry].
