Like Canada's healthcare system? Well, we're heading there in a hurry....

...and despite what all the anti-capitalist, Obamacare supporters want you to believe,  it's not going to be pretty.   General surgeon Jeffery Singer, who is also an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute, has a superb article at Reason.org where he shows how Obamacare will end up taking us to the same endpoint as the Canadian national healthcare system.  What is that endpoint? The development of a two-tier healthcare system that arises because the Obamacare Monster won't be able to meet demand.  That's what happened in Canada, though thanks to the heroic efforts of Dr. Jacques Chaouilli, that country now has a growing number of private clinics and services try to alleviate the massive waiting lists and shortage of specialized services.  Singer opens the article with a brief chronology of the amazing perserverance of Dr. Chaouilli as he battled both the medical establishment and the legal system in his, ultimately successful, effort to create a private market for healthcare in Canada.  But the bulk of the article discusses Canada's system and how our system is likely to follow theirs.  Well worth the time.
