China manipulating economic data? Probably...

The economists at the Zero Hedge blog have an interesting graph and analysis that suggests China is being less than truthful with the economic data it releases to the public.  Of course, communist regimes have a long history of fabricating economic data in order to show the supposed economic superiority of their system over capitalism; so this really isn't surprising.  According to ZH, when reasonable adjustments are made, the "real" data suggest the worst GDP performance by China in 20 years.  You can read all about it, here.
