Weekend links

Want to know what it would be like if we had private social security savings accounts in America? One place to start might be Australia, as the folks at Cato-at-Liberty discuss here.

The Institute for Justice just keeps rolling along, racking up victories over cronies, cartels, and corrupt government officials!  What a phenomenal organization!  If I had to do it all over again, I'd get a law degree and work for IJ -- talk about making a substantial, measurable difference in the defense of liberty and personal freedoms!

The NYTimes ran an interesting article earlier in the week highlighting a growing change of mind about the welfare state in, of all places, the world's leading example: Denmark.  And if you enjoyed that article, check out this effort by the inimitable David Friedman (Milton Friedman's grandson).
