Liberal corruption in academia: UWisconsin's taxpayer-financed slush fund

OLS has posted several times about how the skyrocketing costs of tuition have hampered generations of college graduates unnecessarily (see here, here, and here) and is due, mostly, to administrative bloat.  Well, seems the liberal crooks in the administration of University of Wisconsin have taken the corruption to new levels:
While the University of Wisconsin has been raising tuition and clamoring for more taxpayer support they have been stockpiling hundreds of millions of dollars in unspent tuition and federal grant monies.  Sources in Madison familiar with the discovery tell RightWisconsin that the total of non earmarked funds in the massive UW Slush Fund is at least $450 million.
In response, Govenor Scott Walker has called for a freeze on tuition for two years as the Republican-control government decides how to react:
Gov. Scott Walker and his fellow Republicans in the Legislature called for freezing tuition for two years Friday after a state review revealed that the University of Wisconsin System had cash reserves of nearly $650 million at the end of the last fiscal year.
Another black eye for higher education in the US...just pathetic.
