"It's not rocket science -- it's harder!"

That's popular economist Russ Roberts talking about how difficult economic projections and predictions are to make with any degree of accuracy.  I link to his post at Cafe Hayek (where he blogs with another big-hitter economist, Don Boudreaux) where he further links to a recent article of his looking at the state of macro-level economics, during which he gives a gentle chastising of Keynesian economists.  Everything Roberts writes is worth a look, and his article is no exception.
