Yaron Brook and Don Watkins address one of my personal pet peeves: the assertion that I should "Give back" to society in some form or another.  It's as though at somepoint I somehow took from society, thus making me a social debtor.  But now that I've achieved some measure of success, I'm called upon to repay my debt by "giving back", whatever that actually means.  Well for those of you who feel similarly, I offer you a link to Brook and Watkins's rejection of this ultimately anti-life position.  Here's a good slice to grab your attention:
To point to the businessmen who continue to improve our lives and demand that they “give back” is a grave injustice. They haven’t taken anything in the first place. On the contrary, they make human life better off on a scale that is unprecedented in history.
As always, their article is definitely worth reading. Find it here.
